Halloweeee: Fire Ghost Art From antiquepeanut on Mash-It.io

The Fire Ghost

The ghost is built out of purple flame with a pale blue light running through the middle. Inside the fire sits a black head with two glowing blue eyes, each with a thin vertical pupil like a cat’s. Below the head are a stitched mouth and a wide row of small teeth. The flame narrows to a point and rises out of a jack-o’-lantern, with more purple fire licking out of the pumpkin and a few crossed twigs underneath it.

The Graveyard

The background is a graveyard at night, treated like an old black and white photograph: headstones, dark trees, and a tall stone cross on the right. Hand-painted marks sit on top of it. Red drips run down two of the stones, and red handprints are pressed onto a headstone on the left and the base of the cross on the right. A yellow moon with a wide magenta grin sits in the top corner, and in the black part of the sky, two white eyes are looking out.

At the bottom, black ink spreads across the ground, and a purple ring is drawn into it, crossed with thin red lines.

Why It Reads the Way It Does

Halloween images usually give the fire to the pumpkin and leave the ghost pale. Haloweeee swaps them. The ghost is the fire, and the pumpkin is only what holds it up. The saturated purple also sits against a drained, photo-like graveyard, so the flame is the first thing you see and the red marks are the second. The title is spelled the way a ghost might drag out the word.
