Concept and Inspiration

The concept of “NONE SENSES” grew from a desire to deconstruct the “Five Senses” theme. Instead of simply illustrating sight, sound, etc., I wanted to explore what lies beyond them. What if perception wasn’t tied to physical organs? This led me to the idea of a being that experiences the world through a more ethereal, intuitive lens.

The avatar’s design is rich with symbolic inspiration. The multiple eyes, a common motif in spiritual and mystical art, represent heightened awareness and the ability to see things others cannot. They are not focused on a single point but seem to absorb the entire environment, reflecting a holistic and non-linear form of perception. The stitched mouth is inspired by the idea of silent wisdom—that the most profound truths are often unspoken. It also alludes to a form of communication that is telepathic or energetic, rather than verbal.

The roots and branches on its head are a nod to the deep connection between all living things and the earth. I envisioned this character not just seeing the world, but feeling its pulse, its history, and its energy. The autumn-colored leaves and the cosmic background blend the natural world with the supernatural, symbolizing the harmony between the physical and spiritual realms. “NONE SENSES” is an avatar for those who feel the world more than they see it, for those who trust their gut feelings and believe in the magic that exists just beyond our ordinary perception.
