The Work
KATIE was designed around a single contradiction: the softness of a flower and the danger of something that bites. Purple petals, yellow edges, a wide white face cracked open with jagged red-tipped teeth.
The background is warm — peach tones, drifting hearts, the visual language of a romantic holiday. Everything around KATIE says Valentine’s Day. KATIE says otherwise.
The rubber duck at her base was a deliberate choice. Absurd. Grounding. A reminder that even in the strange, there is something familiar.
Not everything sweet is safe.
